Best non-football sporting moments.

Almost certain not to ride. He was picked for the Giro and they’ve got Jacobsen as their main sprinter for the tour. That said, the stars aligned for Cav to get picked last year so don’t rule it out completely. My fave Cav win was on the Champs when he was led onto the sprint by Mark Renshaw and suddenly Cav just appears like a bullet and annihilates everyone.
He was picked to race at the very last minute in 2021 so there may be a chance. That combination of Renshaw and Cavendish was outstanding.

I set off with 2 lads who are hands down more athletically gifted and skilled than me. They fell by the wayside at 30 and 40km respectively.

As well as raising a bit of cash for charity I wanted to use it as an acid test for my body after a few operations and niggles. It passed the test so definitely keen for some new challenges now. I'd told myself that my legs weren't up to running a half marathon, I think I can put that self doubt to bed now.

Yes I think you could comfortably manage a half marathon, particularly as I would imagine part of the 100k challenge was the mental side to keep going. Running longer distance really focuses on that as your naturally fighting the instinct to stop.

Wilkinson's drop goal against Australia in '93.

Linford Christie winning the 100m gold at the Barcelona Olympics in '92 - me and my mate watched it live and were going loopy when he won it.

The cricket World Cup final win versus New Zealand.

Mo Farah on Super Saturday.

Morales versus Barrera part 1.

I also remember watching Jonah Lomu smash through England's team at the Rugby Union World Cup live and thinking that nobody would ever stop him.
Amazing that Jonny dropkicked that ball at the age of 14. ;-)

Yep, my only skill is being able to withstand pain for a significant period of time.

Wilkinson for me, watched it at a packed Bristol Airport, flight delayed or I'd have been on a plane.

Tiger's chip on the 16th at Augusta. That commentary and crowd reaction as the Nike emblem rolls over and the ball drops.

Dennis Taylor in the snooker final sticks in the memory too.

Many moments of nonfootball related memories have the backdrop of really decent commentary.

I remember Damon hill winning Murray Walker ‘… and I’m going to have to stop there as ive got a lump in my throat’
