Best opposition performance at home

Certainly not from an entertainment perspective, but from a tactical view, then Mourinho's Chelsea in 2014 deserves a mention.

We'd put 6 past Arsenal and Tottenham and 4 past United and everybody expected something similar here. Manuel was truly outfoxed by Jose that night.

Pep's Bayern, that clip of them passing it around with the Benny Hill theme on is pretty amusing.

Here it is..

Still didn't make Yaya look any quicker pressing, Nasri at the end had had enough.

Dortmund.

Annihilation.
Yes they were class that night, the only other that sticks in my mind is the night Suarez scored 2 I think we were outclassed in the 1st 45 minutes, Rakatic, Bousquets & Inesta dry bummed us & the horrible **** Suarez was to good.

2nd half we much better Dzeko missed a great chance then Aguero gets us back in the game only for Clichy to get a red.

Yep 45 minutes were were hammered & lucky it was only 2 that night think it was 2015 then did we go there & Bravo was sent off & we lost 4-0?

The one that sticks in my head was Benitez’s Valencia coming to Anfield a few years before he did, 02 CL. Albelda, Baraja & Aimar were on fire that night, we couldn’t get near them on the pitch. They had such a strong team then from back to front and yet he was about to make them even better. One hell of a side, that.

Dortmund for me too. Gundogan made Yaya look he was playing piggy in the middle. Christ knows how we escaped with a point

We were one down but well on top when Bravo got sent off. Was gutted. Think we beat them at home 3-1 after they went 1 up that season

Dzeko didn’t play under Pep so the defeat was a different season

I honestly think that Dortmund game was the luckiest result I have ever seen City get in any match, certainly in a European match. I remember thinking bloody hell is this the standard we need to reach. And yet we achieved that sort of level in 2018. When I hear other fans slagging off Klopp I always think about his great Dortmund team which knocked the Bayern cheats off their perch, at least for a short while.
