Best PL away ground for CITY fans ?

I'm saddened the nobody has mentioned the rustic charm of the Stratton Bank at Swindon. Outside toilets are a walk down memory lane as well. And we were brief members of the Premier League.

And I can't remember beating you in my life.

Or Portsmouth like someone had transported the worst ginnell in the world and placed it in the away end. Portaloos and a prick banging a drum all game. Last time I went to Swindon they put us in the Town end

In the old days,I used to like Roker Park and Upton Park. Roker—a decent pub in walking distance: Upton— away end pretty good view and a bit of banter with the locals on the left. Old Burnden Park was the only ground I know that had a railway sidings running down one end. The drivers used to park an engine there and watch the match from the footplate. Ok, ask yer granddad.

Yeah, I always liked Roker and Burnden. Two old traditional grounds and decent pubs within easy walking distance. Had a mate who supported Bolton so used to go with him every now and then. Stadium of Light is a decent replacement for Roker but we've not had the best of times there in the PL. I think I've seen us lose there more than we've won. :-(

About then I know Jamie pollock was playing cos I bumped into him in the car park and I think we won 2-0 but too many pints of Arkells shitty beer ruined my memory of the day

Personally Newcastle away is the highlight of my season - and Sunderland when we’ve shared a division - as it cuts 6 hours off my journey times in the day compared to a home game.

Anything on the western side of the U.K. is a proper faff from this part of the world, so any ground in London is easily do-able and we make most of them. Birmingham might as well be on the moon.

I’m still hoping Carlisle get thrown billions by an eccentric Middle Eastern royal to get them up the leagues. Or even Morpeth Town.

Went there for a League Cup game early 80's absolutely pissed it down and of course we had no cover.
The rain ran down the terracing and built up at the bottom so we all had to keep moving back to avoid standing in it.
Had a punk studded leather jacket with Siouxsie and the Banshees on the back. Took about 2 weeks to dry out .
And we lost 4-0

Following season same thing happened at the Goldstone Ground at Brighton- and we lost that game 4-0 too!

It’s a shit view if you’re on the top tier at the back. I remember when Wanchope scored a late equaliser against Fulham when they were playing there and I had to wait till match of the day to see it

Always thought that QPR had the magic triumvirate of a Pub (The Springbok), an Offie and a Chippy right next to each other pretty much outside the Ground. What could possibly go wrong?!!
