Best player from our doldrums years (1980 to roughly 2009)

Paul Walsh was a superb little player for us, Rosler got all the headlines but the little fella was the brains and the footballer.

Never had the chance to properly see or appreciate how good he was for us - but obviously from this and other responses, the concensus seems to be - another level.
He was sheer class when fit, that was the issue, the slightest niggle he did not play which pissed off Swales because Francis would add another 5k to the gate if he was playing.

Wasnt to enthused when we signed him from the Championship when he was 30+ but he proved me wrong and had a good spell with us including very productive 1st half on 94/5 season...them we swapped him for Creaney AND cash!

Francis, Lake, white, Curle, Kinkladze, Rosler, benarbia, Anelka, SWP, Hart, Zabba, Vinny

Got to go for Kinky. He lit up the stadium and for a while was almost the only reason to keep going to games
