Benarbia for me. Thought Elano was a really good player too.
Can still remember how low i felt when Clive left for ChelseaKinky
Lake
Bernabia
SWP
Uwe
Flitcroft
Clive Wilson
Paul Walsh
Colin Hendry
I also think Andy Morrison was one of the most important signings we ever made. He turned the club around and I can't think of any other player who's had such a massive impact for us - literally that one signing pushed us from 12th(?) in Div 1 to the PL in a couple of seasons.
Shutt that door on the way out, Everard...Carl shutt
Felt the same when we sold Paul Simpson. Can still remember how low i felt when Clive left for Chelsea
Remember going to watch oldham in the league cup early 89/90 against arsenal or leeds (maybe I went to both) but remember him and Dennis irwin stood out thought City should sign them. We definitely signed the wrong one think he had an allergy to grass way before mario.Ricky Holden was a very average winger.
Yeah was so draining knowing he was going at the end of the season. Typical moral sapping Swales move. Can still remember how low i felt when Clive left for Chelsea
0 0 against them lot under Keegan probably motm
And after we’d been under the cosh for the first 20mins he started it all off in the 10-1 ;)Neil McNab. Probably not the best player, but for me the best attitude. In a series of struggling teams, he never hid, always wanted the ball and never ducked a tackle. Really underrated player.
He was the old head in Machin's team when I started going to Maine Road and, if I remember correctly, won player of the year in the promotion season. I loved his wind assisted goal against Birmingham.Neil McNab. Probably not the best player, but for me the best attitude. In a series of struggling teams, he never hid, always wanted the ball and never ducked a tackle. Really underrated player.
I agree, he was the best academy player i've seen, such a shame.Paul Lake would have been immense without that injury
