best sections at the Etihad?

Well there are 4 categories really:

If you have young children, enjoy playing playstation and insist on leaving the ground 15 minutes early, you should go in the family stand.

If you admire Stone Island clothing, songs about Munich and abusing anyone who might be associated with the other team, then pick the south stand.

If you are lower middle class, but enjoy pretending that you're upper middle class, choose the East Stand.

If you like sheep skin coats, cheap Cigars and believe you know better than everyone involved in MCFC about how to play football, then the Colin Bell stand is the one!

Hope this helps.

This game will probably be moved to later in the season if the FA Cup game v Chelsea goes to a replay...

I'm at the back of Level 1, in 109/110 and what I like about it is that we have a decent atmosphere & I'm near enough to the pitch to feel involved but just high enough to get a reasonable perspective. What I don't like is that it can be difficult to see what's happening down at the North Stand end of the pitch. I've sat in the second tier of the Family Stand for a few games this season, in 236, and you get a great view of the action at both ends but there's no atmosphere.

If I was moving, I'd go somewhere like 210/11. I've sat there a couple of times in the past and (apart from not standing) get more or less the best combination of view and atmosphere.

if you like standing up in silence with your arms folded all game then 115 - 117 is for you!!!

It really really isn't a 'brilliant view' at all.

It's a brilliant view of the patch of pitch right in front of you and an abysmal view of 95% of it.

All depends on your point of view (no pun intended) the only part of the pitch I can't see for certain is the line on the other side. I can see every other part and not just a "patch of the pitch in front of me". Strangely enough Whitefield Blue my neck and my body moves so I can see things to the side of me as well as to the front!! ;-)

I'm 119 .
The atmosphere very good .
But I prefer to be right behind the goal near the away fans .

Each to their own.

There's a reason TV cameras are placed half way up the stand at every ground though and it's not because the optimum view is at pitch level.

Family stand: kids, don't like a lot of swearing

South Stand: singing, standing up, goading away fans but doing absolutely nothing...

East stand: good view level 2 and 3, moaning twats

Colin bell stand: sit in silence eating sandwiches, know everything about football.

For some serious deliberation exercises on whether to stand up or sit down, come join us in South Stand Level 3.

I love this lol

Depends whats important to the OP - if he wants the banter and comradery and wants to stand then clearly south stand lower is the place to be (or 109/110)

However if hes an old fart who wants to sit down and have a good view and not be crushed at half time on the concourse then the second tier is best

Hadn't thought of this. Would this happen or would the replay be on the next FA Cup date? I think this has been done in previous years with other teams.

Yes that is also possible, not sure what the knock-on effect would be again.

I'm sure they have planned ahead, and with the number of draws Chelsea have had recently I wouldn't be surprised if it ended level.
