Will go for that as well, although Das Boat was a series if I remember right, I also liked Pacific (on Sky Atlantic at the moment) and Band of Brothers both very realistic in the portrayal of the hell of war, there was another German one recently that was very good chronicling the lives of a group of friends in Nazi Germany the name escapes me

I really enjoyed that German one and like you can't remember the name!

Some good choices Id like to add the recent Kajaki film, truely shows the horrors of modern warfare out troops went through.

And 71 good film about the troubles in NI
