Its actually called ''Windtalkers'', in deference to the native Navajo Americans upon whose language the secret Wartime code is based.

Letters from Iwo Jima
Flags of our Fathers

The Pianist
Der Untergang (aka Downfall)
Platoon
Band of Brothers (mini-series)

and Star Wars ;)

Add Stalingrad to that impressive list.

Troy
Saving Private Ryan
Gladiator (more of small battles)
Black Hawk Down
Braveheart
Patriot ( seems to be controversial for most Brits)
Rise of the Footsoldier ( I just like the fights in this tbh though it isn't war)
Pearl Harbour ( Few cool moments)
We Were Soldiers
Windtalkers

Band of brothers and Saving private Ryan for me. My dad became absolutly enfanctuated with the Normandy WW2 scene and many holidays were spent there going to memorials and specific places were significant battle occured. visited many of the places in these films in france. might seem boring but when you also have the plesure of meeting people who were there for example me and my old man met Bill Garneir (typo) from band of brother who had his leg blown off in a snowwy wood it kind of brings it home how masive hero's these guys were and the guys in Iraq and Afganistan are now. The dambusters
Reach for the sky

All great sunday afternoon fodder. You can't beat a good WW2 B&W film where everyone is posh.

Watched the best war film I've seen in a long while last night. The Hurt Locker, with Ralph Fiennes and Guy Pearce. Would thoroughly recommend.
