my first thought too.I'm only in my late teens but the worst would be the 3-0 loss at home to forest , we signed Wayne bridge the same day that says it all
Got back to the coach on Wembers car park and told the driver I was pissed off on the outside and pissed off on the inside!!
Brentford away in 89 when we lost 3 - 1 was a long day. Started with the only wet train to London (went to Olympia not Euston) . ended with hassle from six fingered monkeys that got on at Stoke on the way home. Lots of beer, crap match and a trip to Milton Keynes somewhere along the line.
Nah.it was a def foul by Butcher i think on Bennett, whose silky movement had engineered a yard between the two players....^^This. Driving to what felt like the middle of an armpit, being eyeballed by the locals at a pub right next to the ground until they realised they were the only locals in the pub. Got them so pissed they didn't even make it into the ground then we were shite. Locked in the ground, shat on by a police horse and a age to get back to Manchester. Only good thing was I wasn't driving.
Best: other than the Scum it has to be the Ipswich semi at Villa Park in 1981. Massed ranks in the Holt End, Dave Bennett falls over and Paul Power sticks it in from the free kick. Fantastic...
