Normally, I'd certainly agree with you. But, the equation has changed radically for him. If his gf wasn't there, he'd be 'win at all costs' so she'd have something else to amazed with him about. Apart from being able to get into clubs, running restaurants, winning Big Bro would be the uppermost.
