If Micah plays to his ability then we already have a superior RB.
100% agree with that.

In pace and strength but not passing and technique..... Micah really needs to work on his control, quickness and passing/crosses.... Look at Johnsons input to the England game the other week... Every cross was dangerous... Micah has to give it to someone else to cross...

Was hoping we would get Johnson

Johnson is a good right back and would have been a decent signing. Is he £17 million better than Zab or Richards? Not a chance but as it stands we are all just desperate for us to sign someone and its affecting our thought process. At the minute if we spent £17 million on a player from the conference we would try putting a positive spin on it because we all want some transfer action!

Its all very similar to the Jan transfer window where we signed a player early on and then had to wait a while for the next signing. Its a killer but it looks like we will have to be patient!

WUM-hes going to liverpool

Where did he say Johnson was going to sign? I'm sure he said he was considering us!
Its on BBC mate, saying he is on the verge of joining Liverpool.

I meant the lad who posted it on here said that Johnson was only considering us not definitely coming to us

Good, good news if Liverpool are spending £17 mill on Johnson. That should guarantee they're out of the Tevez race given their limited funds. Johnson would have been nice but he is overpriced at that rate, whereas Tevez at £25 mill would be about right given the market. Barry at £12 mill a steal.

Dont think Liverpool was ever in the race for Tevez to be honest, Tevez said he wouldnt join them anyway, Barry for £12m was nice though :)

when both on form...

i'd take richards any day.

Johnson is better going forward... agreed.... BUT

our problems are at the back... not going forward. When Richards is on top form at the back, his tackling ability and his ability to track back is certainly better than Johnson, Charlie and maybe even possibly better than Zabba.

I'm sorry but Johnson for me, is a waste of money at 17mil.

We need Centre-backs not Full-backs!!!

Been on hols last couple of weeks, did I miss anything...

Hope this brings a little bit of sunshine back with me.

Have just learned this afternoon the following....

We are now firmly in the mix for Glenn Johnson, having only asked for updates up until Sunday night.

We have since offered to include Benjani on top of any fee- we still owe £3.5m based on future appearances (ones he certainly won't be afforded in a City shirt)

There is no actual fee, only that we will match cash offers - currently £18m from Liverpool and Chelsea.

Johnson is now into a serious rethink, having initially counted us out.

Tevez is a City player in all but name - we have a five year agreement in principle - money is closer to Robbie's than previous speculation led everyone to believe.

City expect to announce a formal verbal statement by Friday.

Re Samuel Eto'o. City have entered into an agreement of mutual understanding with both the player's solicitor and Barca.

The solicitor is flying into London on Friday. Eto'o is awaiting to agree a loyalty payment of £1m loyalty payment due to him from Barca, as part of his contract to reward Champs success.

Barca quoted City last week £26m for Yaya Toure, a real interest was declared by Hughes, hence the new contract offer by Barca to Toure was derisory.

The only speculative part of the info given to me, Kolo is crucial to this deal going forward,

Apologies if I've posted anything that's already been mentioned on here previously.

Sounds like your still up in the clouds mate
