Biggest mistake City have ever made?

Being now 46-years old I've witnessed a few City cock-ups... today's being just the latest! Personally, yes, making Swales chairman was one big mistake... replacing him with Lee arguably another one...., one degree of incompetence for another. Sacking Horton, then hiring Ball defo goes down as another calamity (Lee's!), as does Malcolm Allison's comeback (Swales!). Frank Clarke, Steve Coppell... not signing Ardiles, signing Marsh, Daly, swapping Walsh for Creaney (and cash!!??!), unbelievable... letting Kendal leave.. may not have had much choice but all the same.... swapping Mark Lillis for Trevor Christie in 86 (both very average but Lillis would at least sweat blue-blood), everything to do with Lake's knee (not so much a 'mistake' as medically and almost criminally negligent), Jo? yeah, right, he was worth £20-odd million wasn't he! add to that any number of players signed who were not remotely worth what was paid out! Last summer's no-show in the transfer market may also prove to have long-term consequences...

my the list just goes on... and on... and on...

Cheers for your retort that cannot explain why I am wrong. ;)

Money is great. I could have achieved what he did with that amount of cash thrown at the 'project'. ;)

Trouble is, a decent manager would achieve more than either me or Mancini.

Never mind, we would have taken it when stood at York in 1998, if you're old enough to remember that one. ;)
