Biggest mistakes of the decade.

Big one has to be Van Persie, assuming he would have come to us, which would probably have secured the double in 2012-13 and of course stopped others winning these trophies. Hazard may have just wanted Chelsea/London but those 2 would have been very nice 2012 summer signings. Should have looked at VVD when he was at Celtic, we still seem to wait until they become established at their next club instead of taking the plunge - we were linked with Stones when he was available at around 1.5 million from Barnsley...…..
 
Signings generally. The percentage of successes in the transfer market between 2008-2012 was very high, and since then its been about 1 in 5 at best, not including the players we've bought with no intention of them ever playing for City.

I think Txiki should have received more criticism for the state of the squad, and in particular how unbalanced it is (100 midfielders, 2 strikers, 1 fit centre half, 1 good goalkeeper) given how much money he has spent.
 
It might not be the real mistake, but for a sheer idiocy of how it was presented to fans and how many bought it, it has to be Bony for Dzeko, I've been living in fear ever since then that one Jesse 'The Dancer' Lingard could be presented as a real option for departing KdB....
 
Van Persie definitely for me. He was the reason they won the league that season.

Hazard 2nd

Not replacing Kompany could well be third by the time the season Is over.
 
Forgetting to bake a cake for Yaya’s birthday - showed the club is out of touch with the average fan

Timing of the Announcement of Guardiola taking over Pellegrini- as pleased as I was with the news, it didn’t do us any favors For the rest of that season, although felt a bit sorry for the guy saying his goodbyes to an empty stadium.

We splash the cash for the Greatest Dutch Export to the PL (not including Bergkamp, Gullit, and Wiekens) and he ends up the same as Aymeric! That's the way things work for us!

Not getting Hazard. I think he could have provided the edge that could have won us a couple more titles and success in Europe.
