Props to everyone who has offered help, friendship and words of support to the OP. You should be proud of yourselves.
It has but it’s still a choice that you can change at any time. There's no stigma in being lonely really.
Society is just so so broken and different to how it was when us FOCs grew up.
I've lost friends , lost contact and I'm just too hard headed and stupid to initiate contact after so long without it.
Wow didnt expect the ammount of response or kindness i have generated
it is much appreciated
Thank you

feel for you mate keep the faith and fuck emI no im going to get ridiculed for this ....
Currently sat in hospital in london..
Havent seen us play since i gave up my season ticket after the wigan cup final...
Mainly due to 1 thing . I have 0 mates that support city .
I used to go to games on my own, travel on my own and in then end it got a bit lonely .
I also stopped gping to away games down here as had a few things said to me for having a southern accent.. my dads family are from manchester ...
He told me when i was 5 red was banned from the hpuse and if i didnt support city i had to to to borstal
I no people are going to find this hysterical ,
But ive had a failed suicide attempt back in 2010, im back in the priory weekly and now have had my second major op in 12.weels and im only 43 ....
I want to get back to live games but i really dont want to go it alone .....
Laughs out the way but id appreciate some city mates ,,,,,
Sad fucker i no ..
That's such a stupid policy. It will be because of tickets but what about meeting like minded Blues in a pub to watch the match and have a moan (we're Blues what else would we do)It certainly is a great way to make mates, but thsse days you have to go on city website click to join supporters club then get an email back and wait, dont know when they changed it to this method
One small step at a time……..You're never alone mate, genuine people will always care ....
At the end of the day though, only YOU can change your life .... so when you get the 'all clear' from hospital, think positively .. take the steps to improve YOUR situation , and you'll become a lot happier within yourself ..... you could join a gym, you might meet new people....join any type of class, keep fit, art, a walking club, or just anything at all that interests you and will involve you with 'like minded' people ..... I made new friends in my local library the other week ..... join a City supporters club .... volunteering in something is another way to meet people .... you could do ANYTHING, but YOU have to initially make the effort to do so .... people make decisions, and take steps to change their lives, hopefully for the better everyday .... it's highly unlikely that it will ever just 'fall on your doorstep' if you don't actively make it happen yourself.
Good post. That’s sad to read that you feel like that.
I’ll be your mate.
I’m very similar in that I live in Kent and for many years in my 20s I used to travel to most games on my own. However I have always found city fans some of the most friendliest and helpful people I’ve met.
There are even people on this board that I’ve met and gone to games with and even this week one has messaged me offering a ticket which was appreciated greatly.
Don’t give up and start seeing if you can go again. Even if it’s just to the pub to start with and meet fellow blues.
Where abouts in London are you based.
I work in London so I’m happy to try meet up if we can.
Maybe join a supporters club aswell.
Anyway feel free to private message me if you wish to but I guarantee you won’t feel alone at the match if you just say hi to people strike up conversations.
All the best mate and feel free to message.
I agree 100% city are getting more and more detached from the real fans these daysThat's such a stupid policy. It will be because of tickets but what about meeting like minded Blues in a pub to watch the match and have a moan (we're Blues what else would we do)
Football really is fucked if a Blue from the far east (norfolk) cannot just go along to a boozer and see the Chairman of an SC and pay his fiver.
Yep, it has to be done one step at a time if he's genuinely serious about improving his overall situation.... the main thing is he actually moves forward in a way that best suits him, because he clearly can't go on the way he is doing .... I'm only putting suggestions his way, as are others on here, but nothing will work unless the OP actually wants them to.One small step at a time……..
