Birmingham - 3rd Round FA Cup Post Match thread

Very professional and complete performance.

As much as we’d like to see more of the Academy lads get a run out, Pep got it exactly right, IMHO. Strong team to win the game first half, and then introduce some younger players.

Kevin was absolutely outstanding and sprayed the ball around beautifully. Phil and Bernardo were also very good, as were Len and Riyad. The outside of the boot pass to set up the second goal was just sublime, and Bernie's technique for the first was incredible. Phil made some fantastic long passes, especially in the first half.

Credit to Birmingham for keeping going right to the end of the game, but they were never really in it.

It was great to see the three youngsters have some first-team minutes and none of them looked out of place.

Onwards and upwards. Let’s hope for a nice - preferably home - draw in the fourth and fifth rounds.

About sums it up.

Got to be happy with an almost ideal day: game over by HT and a chance to rotate / rest key players, give youngsters some time and move players about positionally in second half.

funny things is been a city fans since 1966 and over the last year city never once phoned me to see if i was alright
but then again they don't have my number or email ?
The club rang me early on during the first lockdown - The lady who rang was quite obviously fed up with the job, and told me that virtually everyone she had called that day had been a moaning old bugger. We had a bit of a laugh talking about stuff other than football, and she left happier than she had been.
I didn't know they were still doing calls... I'll give them a right earful if they call me again, just for a laugh!

Good win though a bit deflated as had 4-0 on my bet. Went through the motions a bit second half but understandable as job done in first half.
Not convinced by the disallowed goal I think if he hadn't of raised his flag VAR would have allowed it but they don't seem to like to undermine the officials in those situations

Thought Kevin D and Foden where standouts in the first half, Foden playing more centrally will be up there with Dubruyne in a few years. 2nd Half subs and Foden switched out wide for the first 25 mins really didnt help us
