I like Birmingham and I like Brummies. The accent doesn't bother me either. There's worse ones out there: Aberdeen, Mansfield, Essex, Hereford, Bolton all spring to mind.

Manchester is better, but Birmingham's alright.
Agreed old chap, i too think Brum is ok, plenty of boozers and shops etc, had a great pissup against Villa the other week, only trouble was got to about 8pm and a few sherberts had been had and i couldnt understand a word that a group of friendly Birmingham City fans were saying in a right dive of a pub near the Bull ring

Birmingham only exists to give Mancs and Scousers someone to ridicule when they have a day off from ridiculing each other.

A City of 1.1 million people all with the same irritating speech defect.

Tara a bit y'all..........

That sounds like Alabama

My daughter went to Uni there and now lives in Sutton Coalfield, spent a few days there a couple of weeks back for her graduation, I thought it was a diverse and vibrant city and the all the people I met were friendly enough.

I liked it anyway

If you had spent enough time there, you'd be reading it in the appropriate whine ;.)

I give you four words. Enoch Powell, Jasper Carrott.

Birmingham has a lot to answer for.

Compared to Blackpool I could see why you'd think that. ;-)
