Birthdays

Can you be arsed with them?

Just feel awkward on mine , people coming round, giving me cards, having to do that fake smile shizz.

Am i miserable old bastard or should i enjoy them more, take a day off .. treat myself

I'm the same as you. Not interested about making a fuss about it and don't advertise it on social media. Think it's a bit weird adults make a fuss about their birthday unless it's 21, 30, 40, 50 etc.
Never got round to celebrating my 50th but not that arsed to be honest!

No fuss for me, just another day.

Spent my 60th at the West Ham game met blue son, had beer yesterday with the other son around our home area....job done....low key.

I'd be gutted if I'd have had a surprise party, I really would.

Think it's all about being happy within your skin.

I sometimes tell my family I’m going out with my mates and tell my mates I’m going out with my family. Then just spend the day alone.

Apart from my 40th last year when I had a big night out.

Also, about every 6 or 7 years, my birthday falls on Easter weekend and I go out Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday for it!

On other years I just spend it alone. Some people love being fussed over though.

What a shower of miserable bastards you lot are.

Can I join the club?
I’ve decided I’m not having anymore. Not into this getting old palava.
