Birthdays

I'm absolutely shit at remembering birthdays of loved ones. I do send my best wishes eventually, often weeks later. I even forget it's my own. I was buying a new driver recently and him indoors said I'll get it for your birthday, so I know it's coming up this month. I started to forget on purpose when one place I worked years ago expected you to bring cream cakes in for everyone else on your birthday.

Never been one for fuss, it's just another reminder how old I'm getting. Though maybe we should celebrate surviving it another year ?

You bring in cakes for everyone else, on your own birthday?

I enjoy my birthdays and those of family members. We always make a big deal of them and nice to have all the family together for the day.

It was my 60th in Feb and we had a small family gathering and even that was too much. I really dislike being the centre of any attention and I get called a miserable bastard for it

We’re having a slightly larger family get together in a month when the weather will hopefully be good and I’ll crack out the bbq, but at least they’ll be no cards and stuff that I feel totally embarrassed about opening

Enjoy your birthdays , enjoy every day you wake up , take in the fact people care .
Enjoy life .. you could be in for the greatest time of your life . Trust me

Up the blues.
