Bitcoin (cryptocurrency)

Just been reading about the Luna, jesus christ KSI bought 2.8 million dollars worth yesterday and it's now worth a couple of grand.

Really bad news for Crypto and it's future that something which was seen as a good project was manipulated into collapsing.
KSI is a **** tbf.

Also worth noting that $1 to $0.10 is a 90% drop, $0.10 to $0.01 is another 90% drop. (It actually fell from $1.42 to $0.0051 so it’s dropped 90% three times in as many days)

People often think that once something has dropped 90% (once) that’s it’s now good value. In reality, that doesn’t mean it won’t drop a further 90%.

It dropped 99% overnight again and is now worth 0.00049. A week ago it was £65.37 per coin.

I feel for the people who didn’t get their money out.

Good. When you read about confused elderly folk getting scam called in bank frauds and their savings shipped out, that is exactly where the money ends up and where the trail becomes as good as impenetrable. Its a bank for villains

Luna is just one of hundreds if not thousands of crypto coins mate.

Presumably they were all aware that they were just gambling not investing, much like the mugs who bet on the rags to win the league at the start of each season ;)

The world of Crypto and NFT's has 100s of scams for every good project. Can anything be a good project when it exists within a scamers paradise? Even the good projects are susceptible to all sorts of nefarious BS. Pump and dump is rife. That kind of market is always going to have a risk of a big big crash.

Don’t really know about crypto but put £1400 in Bitcoin a while back, it’s been up to £2400 in that time and is now down to £1200

I’ll just leave it in and see what happens

Bought and sold numerous times over the last few years but bailed out completely months ago , it became apparent that it’s all built on quicksand .

Even if is was a decent investment you get protocol given security audits and then changed after the all clear, allowing someone to drain your reserves in effect as they bough enough coin and the protocol allowed them full governance. It is amateur hour and confidence is seeping away.

We had someone here saying bitcoin could be worth $1m each soon when Russia uses them to sell its oil. No sympathy for anyone who didn't "get out" of crashing coins in time, as it would need someone else to get in and lose.
