Bizarre chance encounters

I was at Gatwick Airport on Christmas Eve 2007 ready to fly up to Manchester for Christmas. Was stood at the gate waiting for the flight to board and two men in England cricket tracksuits walk down the corridor and stand at the back of the queue. One of them had people instantly murmuring amongst each other - it was none other than Freddie Flintoff. The other one wasn't as recognisable at the time, but as a cricket fan I knew it to be Jimmy Anderson. They'd just flown into Gatwick from India.

During the flight, they both moved to the back of the plane, where I was sat, because there were several empty seats. Freddie asked to borrow my paper so I chatted to him for a while. Jimmy fell asleep so Freddie ate his breakfast.

Another time, in Australia I was on the beach when two short blokes walked past wearing shorts, shirts and hats. It was Bondi beach so they stood out a mile because they were wearing clothes. I wasn't sure who they were but my mrs informed me it was Toby Maguire and Leonardo Di Caprio (who were there filming the Great Gatsby).

Met rod Stewart on train from Aberdeen to Glasgow.he was polite and even bought me a beer.

Another time was in shop in Wolverhampton and recognised a guy buying the paper.thought he was someone I knew from home so said hello.bugged me all day what his name was, later girlfriends dad says oh Robert plant uses that shop a lot.went back every morning at same time to talk to him again but to no.avail.
