Blackpool Tickets

The only way it will stop is if all clubs use common sense. They all get together and they all charge one fee for away fans

Great idea Mick, but probably unworkable for a number of reasons......However, charging the clubs the same as we get charged at away games is the way to go IMO, as then we shall get parity together with hopefully a lot of discontent from supporters, who again hopefully will take it up with their respective clubs to reduce away fans pricing so that in turn the tickets prices come down...

Probably a pipedream, but you never know :-)

we cant really complain about the blackpool prices are prices are disgusting and if they are the arsenal prices for home fans then fuck going to that i simply refuse to pay that much

I would think the Arsenal tickets will be dearer for home fans, as we don't sell any in the North/South stand on public sale so it'll be East & Colin Bell tickets which are more expensive.

If Arsenal implemented this we'd have to pay £48 to go to the Emirates, rather than the £36 I payed last season.
That system would benefit may clubs fans, but for City fans it would mean we'd have to pay much more for most away games.

It just shows how fooked up it all is! How can we charge the Arse £48 and then they charge us £36, forget the North/South devide and all that, this is just bizarre, if anything it should be the other way around you'd think, but its benefitting us for once but this is not the norm is it??

Just looking at my away ticket stubs it seems we charge most away fans more than they charge us. West Ham, Fulham Chelsea and Blackpool are the exceptions.

Should tickets remain, further selling criteria will be announced.

Do we think this will go to 4500? The tik office usually have it right with these things??

No. For the league Cup derby they published "further sales criteria" three times.

Arsenal was cheaper than £36 last season, thought it was £34, but don't worry we are cat A now there now so on average Arsenal fans will pay less than we do to go to repsective aways.

Its a very long time since we have taken 8 to 10k many places, but then again its a very long time since we showed good form for a length of time!

Yeah , i was just going off the 5,000 that turned up at Wigan ... and many more tried to get in home areas ... some failed , some succeeded!

There is no doubt in my mind that if the team were really in form we could take twice that amount to a place like Blackpool , a place which is an attraction within itself ....... and i can see 2,600 being a bit of a tight squeeze for us .
Why do you think Blackpool is attraction within itself?

Well the National Tourist board reckons it is , so it must be!

Seriously though a lot of City fans won't just go there for the match , many will stay for the weekend , if not longer ...... and as it's only 50 miles or so away from Manchester it's gonna be a target for a lot more than 2,600 people on the day that we play them ........ especially if we're in form!

But it's all irrelevant as we're unlikely to see anymore tickets than that .

Don't see the attraction myself, unless you're taking the kids that is

Sorry if already posted, but do people reckon that this one will carry to the saturday; as in, 4500-5000 points?

this will be really close, i think they are dropping down the crteria too much, if someone has 4510 and another has 4910 they are in the same bracket yet the guy on 4910 may have been to a full seasons and more of away games than the 4510 guy, they should drop in 100's not 500's.

100's? How many days before the match to do want the tickets to go sale? That would add another week per tier. At what level would the 100 point drop start/stop? You'd have to keep everyone happy don't forget!

It's till going to add a lot days - and you haven't said what level it should start or stop. We'll be selling tickets for matches next year with season ticket renewals ;-)

i think the quick fall from 6000 to 5000 in three days followed by a week of dropping by 200 would soon see us in the 3600 bracket with two weeks left before the game which is plenty of time
i can't see the tickets going as low as 3600, but if they did you would be on 2200 still with a week left

The game is 25 days away. The smart money is that it won't go below 4500 points. Start at 6000 and drop it by 100 points per day. If it gets as far as 4500 points there's still over a week to go before the match. I don't see the problem in dropping the points in blocks of 100 myself. If there was a much shorter window to sell the tickets then fair enough, but there isn't.
