why would it be off when the conditions are better than they were on wednesday?

Frozen pitch.
The only way the pitch will be frozen is if the undersoil heating breaks which is very very unlikely.

Keep up the WUMing :-)

They could easily have had it installed over the summer. Say at most it costs £1m to put it in.

That's £1m of the £50m-90m (Guessing here) or so they're likely to get from one season in the PL, including potential parachute payments etc.

So what's wrong with dipping into that, to invest in their stadium? Because they were being tight, they've now lost the TV revenue from Saturdays game.

They may lose more televised games over the winter, which all adds up.

And even if they went down this season, they'll still have the undersoil heating and the benefits it brings in the Championship.

And they had plenty of time to do it, regardless of going up through the play offs. It probably takes about 6 weeks for a pitch to fully establish from seed, let alone turf.

No under-soil heating, let's see them explain that one.

There is nothing to explain......

It is not a pre-requisite of being allowed into the FAPL.... as a matter of fact, Fulham (who are celebrating 10 years in the PL this year) only had it installed last summer!!!!

Promoted sides are given special dispensation (if they do not already have it), so many promoted sides go straight back down, it is not viable to have it installed.....

The FAPL said (in 2007) that all teams had to have undersoil heating, however, those that have been promoted have to undertake to have it installed within 5 years of promotion..... this was the FAPL's stance in 2007.....

Fulham therefore have fitted in with the timespan, Blackpool if they stay up for 5 years will have to do so as well......

I hope this explains it for you.......
I didn't ask you to explain anything, the blackpool manager seems to like to have an opinion on everything including the rooney situation involving his possible transfer to us,SO it will be interesting to see the 20min rant by their manager on this.
See what happens when you put your nose into something you know nothing about,it might be an idea to concern yourself with how bent harry is going to be able to manage you from a prison cell rather than trying to be a smart arse on here.
