Ok, here's the update for you all. It's a sustained co-ordinated approach - not calling it a "campaign" but an approach under the strapline SING UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS led by the blue alliance but backed by the club

You'll be seeing reference to it on the club's website together with details of how everyone can get involved.

Away fans cannot be moved together so club to regard South Stand and Kippax as the 2 singing sections, separated by away fans but working together in lots of ways.

Swansea at home we're getting 5,000 leaflets done for the pubs and the turnstiles - our members will distribute. club want us to do this so it's not got the club's hands all over it.

Following fans' feedback we asking fans to get into their seats 10 mins before kick off for Ajax. They'll play right here right now early so people know to take their seats. the PA will say "sing up for the champions" then the PA will go off for 5 mins whilst the fans have a chance to sing and get it going. Uefa music to start up again when teams appear.

Real Madrid at home. it's gonna look great that's all I can say.

We are gonna ask for feedback so any fan with any idea can get involved. We take the snapshots of opinion after home games, chat with club about what's worked. implement new ideas as we go along.

More stuff on youtube from TBA filming the atmosphere in various parts of the ground, getting that on the MCFC youtube channel. getting the songs to a wider audience so that when kippax and ss start up, the songs carry better.

An attempt to get fans in other parts of the ground to sing up too, but an attempt to take those people with us, not just try and guess what people want.

TBA presence at points of blue and other regular interactions between club and fans

Club saw how Real Madrid interact with their fans and will continue to accomodate banners flags we get done. Hopefully they'll be up permanently in SS and fans can vote on what message goes up there.
They are keen to find long term solutions.

Well done lads.

Credit to Danny and the club for sticking with and by the Blue Alliance and working with them.

I've decided to go and see what all the fuss is about. :-)

Looking forward to seeing the rabble at the Waldorf before the Swansea game. With my £10 of course. ;-)

PS. Is there room on either singning section for a foam machine?

I sit on row A in the second tier of the family stand. The stewards have told me in the past to raise my flag because it blocks the view of the scoreboard at the away end for replays.

Will shit like that stop.

Top stuff!! Could the club maybe do something like having flags on poles laid on the floor on variuos rows so anyone in the row could grab the flags and wave them during the game or atleast when players run out or when we score?

Well done.

I've got a ticker tape fetish.

Fill 25 bin bag's FULL and spread them out across the front row of the top tier in the south stand.
RIVER PLATE EAT YOUR HEART OUT..........

Good luck though...great effort.

TBF that's one issue that needs to be clarified. I had a similar issue when I used to sit on level 2.(a few seasons back) On the occcasions when I hung my Mancini Banner I was told to move it between the sponsors names and logos, or told to remove it all together.

If large banners/flags are going to hung on level 2, 'they will' obscure sponsors names and logos. Can the club clarifi their position on this please.

PS. I have a big f*** off banner planned for the Kippax Curve above blocks 111/110/109. ;-)

to be honest danny's moved "upstairs" so he gets involved to a point but we deal with a range of people, club endorisng tba now but want us to engage with as many blues as possible so we are reflecting opinion on a wider scale

as for all the other things people are saying, we will ask for ideas feedback etc at various points of the season as we have done recently, so there will be every opportunity to implement any good ideas

there's perhaps some potential to move people who sit in quieter parts of the ground into kippax / ss for cup games - depending on who we get. If we got Utd no chance to do this. but if we got a lower league team and the gate was circs 30-40K, then there may be opportunities to try 1 or 2 things out

tba banners have also been shifted by stewards if they overhang too much etc. for the champions league we have to give the ground "over" to Uefa so their rules, sponsors etc.

we've asked them to measure the space properly so we can have a permanent banner up there all the time without having to take it down, like they have across Colin Bell (there is a light / hello hello city are back) etc

With regards to the flags I've found that stewards will tell you a flag is completely fine when you're putting it up, then another one will come along in the game and move it up. Even when its not obscuring a view (as I've verified) they'll move it. It's hugely inconsistent.
