Blue badge

mrs frog has just received a parking fine in stockport,we have a blue badge for our daughter, mistakenly she put the out of date blue badge on display(the new one was in the car) and got a £70 fine, now im all for protecting blue badge parking spaces because people do abuse them, but does anybody know if we could appeal on the grounds of mrs frog being a dozy twunt ?
Your first 'fine' for a blue badge is waived.

After the first one, all other misdemeanors are jumped on by the wardens (who actively target bb holders)
My mrs got a fine for having her badge upside down.

Anyone herd of this company "Parking eye"just been in Manchester royal hospital, got a ticket didn't see thaut you should of had a wheelchair ramp for your vehicle,as was stressed trying to fine a parking spot for 20 minutes.

Parking Eye are ubiquitous in the NW.
Sadly you appear to be bang to rights.
You could try an appeal to their sense of fairness (ha ha) but I don’t think you have any formal grounds to appeal.

I don't know the law. But I have a feeling that it's illegal for them to distinguish between disabilities.

Also just a side, have you spoken to the hospital? I know when people have had fines near me in supermarkets and they've been wrong the manager has been able to get the fine cancelled. So might be worth speaking to the facilities dept at the hospital.

I feel like this has to be one of the most unfair parking fines i've ever seen.

Could try them on a technicality. Say you had a wheelchair ramp in the car, the sign doesn’t say what type they should be nor that they have to be used or how they are used. Unless it’s in the blurred text bit.

But the invoice ( it isn’t a fine) is not wrong.

It is also not illegal. Parking providers can set the terms for blue badges.

Say you had these in the back and you keep them out of sight for security reasons ...
