New one on me
Never heard of it before. Of course you’d be stressed trying to get a parking space at that hospital. All you would have focused on is the disabled sign, saw the space and parked up. It’s a disgrace, you’ve shown your disabled badge, what more do they need. There was an article last month on BBC North West about these car park bullies. I hope you get a satisfactory outcome.Anyone herd of this company "Parking eye"just been in Manchester royal hospital, got a ticket didn't see that you should of had a wheelchair ramp for your vehicle,as was stressed trying to fine a parking spot for 20 minutes.
I would still speak to the hospital. As daft as it sounds they may not know what signs the company has up. I can't imagine a hospital being fine with deciding who is and isn't eligible who has a blue badge. But the invoice ( it isn’t a fine) is not wrong.
It is also not illegal. Parking providers can set the terms for blue badges.

A disgrace? Behave. And that is a bloody big sign to not see.Never heard of it before. Of course you’d be stressed trying to get a parking space at that hospital. “A few years ago” is critical here. One of the biggest private parking companies.
For what it's worth I left my car overnight in Morrisons a few years ago where they operated the car park (100% my own fault, went to the pub over the road and didn't want to drive home pissed even though only round the corner).
They sent me a "fine" (it's really an invoice) in the post, followed by several scary sounding letters (including one designed to sound like it was from a solicitors, who after a bit of Googling, were just made up and did not really exist) designed to make people pay up.
I just binned them all and they gave up but your mileage may vary.
Over the past few years with my siblings and I having many appointments at various hospitals and me being the only driver, I have had my fill of trying to find spaces at hospitals, so I do know how difficult it is to park, whether it’s for disabled access or able bodied person.A disgrace? Behave. And that is a bloody big sign to not see.
I would guess (the photos don't show it) that the bay(s) has extra space at the back to allow wheelchairs easy loading. We've just been to our local hospital where parking is an absolute nightmare and I had to drop the wife off at the front door and left her to it while I parked at the furthest point away possible in the pissing rain and yes, she has a blue card.
We'll just get a taxi next time and sod it.
Must admit after asking a parking person from another car park round the corner he to us to park there, yes i should of read the sign a bit more but when you have been driving around for 35 minutes in the rain,Mrs telling me where i can park and not park, when just look at the sign you think great sorted and then of to see the specialist who we have been waiting to see for 6 months, just had my mind on not being late , thanks for all replies i will email paking company tomorrow tell them it was human error, and hope they have a bit of compassion, never even seen a sign like this before, we are at Stockport and Salford hospital regularly.A disgrace? Behave. And that is a bloody big sign to not see.
