Lyle Lovett - Bears
"Year of the Tiger" - Myles Kennedy
I'd never heard of him before that album, and to be honest the bits I've investigated since were OK but not enough to make me listen again. Not listened to much (if any) of his solo work, that could be today's adventure.
And it's got a banjo!
Love that song,we’ve got Bears that occasionally come on the community of our house in the States and by coincidence one was spotted yesterday, so I always sing that song to my wife.
I think on Lyle Lovett's version it's actually a mix of mandolin and dobro but there's definitely banjo on the original by Steven Fromholz (and the better for it in my opinion but I've always liked Lyle Lovett's slightly laconic vocal delivery).
I stand corrected.
Although if we ever do get that banjo theme, this level of technicality may need a bit of leeway, with anything plinkety-plonkety counting.
Or even One Brown Mouse. Liked his animals, did old Jethro.Jethro Tull: "Heavy Horses".
