Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 27 - Out on blue 6 - Gone Too Soon (pg 438)

I've finally caught up and listened to everything so far, adding things to the playlist as I'm still listening.

My general observation - and this applies to all three weeks - is that there is way too much stuff to take in. I think a format where after the initial 5, each contributor adds one song would be better - for me. But obviously if everybody else is enjoying the current format, that's great.

Whilst I agree, I've adopted a skimming for unknown gems approach rather than forensically examining each one on the list and I quite like the fact that up to a nomination a day means there's always something going on in this thread.

I tend to listen to them in days, as they come you get maybe 5 a day tops. Keeps it manageable, and fresh. Taps into the mood of the day

Love songs like this that imortalise important people many of us might not otherwise have heard of
I must admit, the first time I heard this song, I listened to the first line:-

My name is Officer O'Malley My job is hunting Pigeon(s) down.

And I thought, What? They've got a police officer hunting pigeons?!!!!

But the song is about something rather more important. I love the frenetic guitar/accordion/lyrical delivery on this short song.

Opted out of putting this one up, as it is not really a serious 'proper' song.

However if anyone wants a wee friday chuckle, or at least a wry smile..

Plate full of sgadan - Peat and Diesel.
