Blue Moon Top 100 Bands Artists - Full List of Artists (pg 287)

Cool story! I didn't know that.

"True Colours" was the bigger hit over here (because of "I Got You") but I enjoyed Waiata more -- more consistent I think.
A lot of their earlier material was excellent and I listen to that more so than their commercial successfully material which they were always going to obtain given the song writing talents of the Finn brothers.

Their stage costumes and demeanour set them back somewhat in gaining credibility due to video taking over as the main medium to deliver music to the masses.

I have to agree with your sentiment re those two albums although of all their well known material Poor Boy is my favourite with Tim a reminder saying to Neil not just yet little brother.

@RobMCFC Hey Rob tomorrow can you tell us which poster has the most bands in the bottom 50? It’s funny seeing all these folks with 0, 1 or maybe 2 (I have 2). Does anyone have, like, 5 so far?

I have 4 in there so far, so i'm on track for 5 in the lower 50. I would have had 5 but decided to drop one that's in there as I was getting too genre heavy, and other types I really like were not getting a worthy mention.

:-)

Was it you that pit me on to their album from a previous thread (of which I can't remember the name)?

Edit: Together alone...........
Don't know if it was me but that's in my top 5 albums of all time.

Not a bad idea - I'll look into that.

Positions #50 – #57

Everybody with 9 points now, and it appears that one 9 ain’t enough for Dave Grohl as he appears twice in one section with Nirvana and Foo Fighters. The Red Hot Chili peppers had a chance to grab a top 50 place but they gave it away (badum-tish).

The Cure, Embrace, Pulp and Frank Zappa make for an eclectic bunch whilst Crosby, Stills, Nash with optional Young mark Neil Young’s first appearance in the list, but will he be back later?
