Blue Shirt, Blue Shorts, White Socks?

Renegotiate the contract for an extra 30 million a year and it make make it a sweeter pill to swallow.

The majority would agree that we should play in a blue shirt with white trim, and white shorts. Opinion seems to be split between dark blue socks and blue with maroon trim. We 'be played in dark blue socks for most of our history, but the maroon ones are popular because we were successful for the very short period of time we wore them. For me, the ideal city kit is a 'City Blue' top (which is ever so slightly darker/less washed out than sky blue!), white collar and sleeve trimmings, dark blue numbers and sponsors, white shorts and dark blue socks.

using the word 'majority' is a dangerous word to use because you don't know that for a fact. All the new, young fans, fans in the world might not care as long as its the City colours, they would be the 'majority' over UK based fans of older generations that want a more consistent traditional kit for foe example.

i'm 40 from Manchester and seen City play in Blue/White/Blue, Blue/Blue/Blue, Blue/White/White, Blue/Navy/White, Blue/White/Navy ...and never once did I think ..."i'm watching Coventry City here."

I dont follow this crap that fans that mistake us with Lazio, Coverntry City, Napoli, Celta Vigo because we all have the same colour kit and City should have a unique kit. "Real Madrid is all white... United are Red/White/Black ... Liverpool are all red ... famous kits..." they are only famous because they been usigng them for fifty years and bee n successful in that time. So for that to happen, we have to be wearing whatever for 50 years or so so our's is a "famous kit" by which time, most of us will be dead and couldn't give a shit.

variations ... (apologies on the PL badges for the anally perdantic that wont be accurate next season)

Erm... Sorry. Pedantic.

i miss umbro :(
Cunts. I remember navy shorts and white socks from those bastards in the 90's. It was either that and niall quinn wore them, or the England team. Interchangeable kits is obviously a brand new thing because Nike are wankers. Constant attempts to be original are because some people have cash to burn and buy 3 new shirts a season, when I was a kid it was away one season, home the next, my dad and grandad didn't even have that.

Agree in general though, to me city colors are blue /white /navy, away either maroon or the red and black stripes. The white shirt with the sash looked smart and for a third, hi vis yellow why not.

You don't believe in an afterlife then, Gav?
