Hi All

Didn't want to post before the outcome of the derby...

Like the rest of you, I was really gutted about the result and, to take my mind off things, went into town and saw a fantastic play about Eric Morecambe (my dad's comedy idol).

So this week's question is:

How have you overcome derby disappointment over the years?

Katy will read out some of your posts on Tuesday's show (95.1FM, BBC Radio Manchester, 6pm).

i used to go to karate 30 odd years ago and made my own makiwara (punching board), i still have it to to this day, although its a bit like triggers 25 year old brush in fools and horses.

i go into the garage and have a quite word with the makiwara, usually after half an hour i`ve gotten into a sweat and feel more at peace with the word. yesterday however it didn't have the desired effect, so i`m going for another discussion with the fucker this morning.

Went into town with friends for a few.

Didn't see one United fan celebrating though - no shirts, scarves or songs, red, green or yellow. I wonder if their players know how little their efforts seem to mean to their 'fans'?

Over the Years it has been difficult and I usually resorted to nasty comments about the whole culture of commercialism and unreality of the Club. Burger vans outside the Swamp accepting Euros; A fan base from the far East and six kit changes a season.

Now its easy. I know I will ultimately have the last laugh as everyone can see their false Empire crumblling day by glorious day.

It is very disappointing to lose in injury time but I didnt see many reds celebrating in town afterwards and the ones we did speak to admitted they were more releived than jubilant because were a lot closer to matching them on the pitch than they realised.
