Did you eat it?If you deemed it to have no chance of survival then you did the right thing. Done a few mercy killings over the years but the hardest one was a roe deer.
No. I rang the farmer and told him to come and get it. It was miles from anywhere and it’s throat has been ripped out by a dog. I wasn’t lugging it’s bleeding, twitching carcass back 3 miles to the car. It was supposed to be a romantic walk.Did you eat it?
I wasn't aware snappers were partial to a booby.
You could have hung it from the standard lamp :-).No. I rang the farmer and told him to come and get it. It was miles from anywhere and it’s throat has been ripped out by a dog. I wasn’t lugging it’s bleeding, twitching carcass back 3 miles to the car. It was supposed to be a romantic walk.
Wouldn’t have fancied my chances butchering it in my one bedroom flat with a set of ikea cutlery, either.
Some nice feathers for fly tying though.OMG ! I'm not even going to ask you how you achieved that. Thing is, my mate keeps sending me threatening pictures of sea-gulls saying "we know what you did"
Ship canal ?Will catch up on the thread a bit later as really enjoy reading everyone's updates. I had a day off today, as my boss wants us to take at least 50% of our holiday allocation before the end of June, so we can support the recovery in the second half. What should I do? Cooked breakfast.. Check. I know, I will have a few hours roving on my local river tributary. Got some halibut pellets and plenty of tinned hemp. Had 4 hours down there and nothing until the arrival of a 12lb 10oz barbel. Absolutely made up. Made my season and not the end of June yet!
That's a big barbel pal, bet you're made up. Nice one. Did you take a pic? Will catch up on the thread a bit later as really enjoy reading everyone's updates.
