Bluemoon Angling Thread

That surprises me mate. I didn't know they took bait. Unless he was winding in and one took.

In the old days we fished into the dark for them. You could have 2 on at once if you fished a dropper. The river was alive with them. Good fighters and a pretty fish.
We turn them up pretty regularly on bread or corn. This one was on fly though. Plenty of salmon in the river and my mate reckons they are "fresh".

As the poem goes
A lead to the head will send them to bed : ) ,

I get a lot of dog walkers letting their dog jump in usually in a prime spots, same as those pesky canal boats, shouldn't allow barges on canals, lol

I actually spend a lot of time speaking to canal boat owners, I was speaking to a lady, her and hubby just had enough of day to day life, sold everything and moved onto a barge, best thing she's ever done, she's even getting tesco to deliver to the car park I park in that's the only downside she said, I keep friendly with them, they might offer me regular brews:)

Attempt two on the Nene in the morning. 30 "whopper dropper" balls in last night, another 30 tonight. Fingers crossed we don't blank again and the bream have moved up river after spawning! Role on the 02.15 alarm!
Good luck mate. Hope your nets and car are stinking to high heaven the day after tomorrow.
