That's some serious barbel hauling, BMR. Well done mate. I'm on the Wye for a week in September and you've really whetted my appetite.
I had an afternoon stalking carp and tench with my centre pin on Saturday in a "secret" little pond. Had a number of perch and had a swim full of bubbling tench but couldn't get a bite. They were preoccupied on pellets and I'd only brought worms and corn.
Sunday morning a mate and I had a short session on the Ribble in bright sunshine, and managed one 7lb barbel.
