Bluemoon meet up (March 2nd 1pm onwards) Crown & Anchor

Had a really good time yesterday, meeting some cracking people.

Sorry for being a lighweight towards the end, not eating was a huge mistake, cheers feed the goat for getting me that water!

Oh and sorry rascal for being a pissed up useless twat in piccadilly trying to find your train.

That can be a victory in its self some days. Got Toby to the tram had some interaction with some rags from stoke, got a guard to throw me on the right train taxi home then house party. Delicate

You are all lightweights ;-)
We had the bosses leaving do on Friday night and apparently one bloke woke up in the bushes outside the local B and Q.
PMSL!! ;-)

Did you all walk round saying "i'm ..... what's your moniker"?
Be easier to have a badge with moniker on i'd of thought.

I was sat next to Corky and his missus for 10 minutes thinking i was the only one there when Toby, Rach and Andyhinch arrived and Toby said sat down at my table and said straight away to Corky "you corky then?"

I did suggest it to chief organisor about getting some sticky labels and writing names on but I don't he was listening, more interested in sniffing around the talent.

It sounds like a good time was had by all. I probably know the faces of some of you without even realising it, at games and in pubs etc.. I'll have to make the effort next time as there are many good posters on here.

Have any of you lot met at meetings knowing each other personally but not knowing their moniker and not realising that they knew each other through this forum?. If so, i bet it's a strange feeling.... Small world.

Is that because Corky is actually made of cork?

I might go to one of the meet-ups one day. No-one will know who I am and I'll be able to sit and have a pint in peace, while taking names.

A 400 mile round trip for a quiet pint is a bit of a push, but the Campanile sounds a good place to stay.

Thats the thing. I had been out for a smoke and as i walked in a bloke at the bar said to me "you must be Rascal, i have seen you at games over the years" It turned out to be Blue Underpants who i wildly disagree with on here but i shook his hand, we had a beer and i introduced him to the gang and he was away. A good fella.

Posters on here really should try and make an effort to turn up, i think many would be suprised at how warm and welcoming it really is. The first time is awkward as i remember, but once your sat down and have said hello you realise that the people you are sat with are the same people you chat shit with on here all fucking week :))

And there are some suprises of course. On here me and SWPB argue over everything, yet when we meet for a beer we have a laugh and i like to think have become good mates. Even the posh fucker GDM is a decent bloke if a little loud. He is nowhere near as loud as Rach mind. She was hyper yesterday and very funny.

-- Sun Mar 03, 2013 7:14 pm --
