Is Carbon on the Merge network? the software looks the same, I played a while on Playersonly on the merge network and I enjoyed it, a lot of value for money MTT's. Its a ball-ache cashing out though.

yes it is on Merge - if you're hosting on Merge I can probably join in too.

I haven't cashed out anything so I couldn't comment on that.

you have to upload all sorts on playersonly, passport, utility bill, bank details (which I always find weird as they obviously have 'em if you've deposited), and something else if I remember rightly. On the 2+2 forum there was a few who simply didn't get their money and the rumour was that it was a dodgy site, I got my money but it did take a while.

Anyone for Wednesday at 9pm? shall I sort a table?

I think that's mainly because of the clamp down on money laundering with all the other crap that's going on with the financial regulation of banks and the idiotic laws the US have passed.

hopefully all this is about to change.

Carbon doesn't appear to be a bad site, and going off the reports and reviews I posted earlier I'm giving it a shot; but I can't access PokerStars when I'm Stateside.

Re: Bluemoon online poker tourney

Right taking this down - can't make wed but any future games put me down

Any chance of increasing buy in? I know it's a bit of fun but maybe a once a month tourney of say '50 brick' with 20 players, 1st prize a season ticket or something like that, sure the interest will grow with a little incentive.

Re: Bluemoon online poker tourney

Problem with that is that I think the most we've ever had playing is 14/15 in one game and the buy in was only $5

I'd be happy to do a fifty quid one with big prizepools now and then mind you.

Re: Bluemoon online poker tourney

i'd be happy to have a bigger buy in but i reckon its more likely to scare a few off than get more in. You'd be surprised how many people have pm'd and then backed off when told we actually play for real money.

A lad i used to work with said he was interested in playing in my home game and that he'd played some pretty big games with his uni mates, when i asked him how much for, he said a fiver!

We could just do one for $20/30 to start with?

We've struggled to get this off the ground with just a $6-75 buy-in, sometimes having only 5-6 playing. I think people are a little scared that they may be walking into shark pool, they want to play but are reluctant to play with people they don't know. I reckon the more people that play the more people will come along and join. I think we should keep the buy-in low and see how we go for a while, get more people playing and then ask the question on here if everyone are happy with upping the stakes afterall its not about winning loads but just a few blues getting together for a game. A lot of the people that play treat it a bit more of a social/something to do thing.
We can always have bigger buy-ins on a different night if enough are interested. I'll happily make anyone an administrator of our "home games" club if they want to set up games on any given night for any amount and then people can choose whether they want to play at that buy-in. We could also go onto other clubs forums and ask if they want to join in to get the numbers/prize money up without actually putting the stakes up. I am willing to go with the flow but I'm concious of it not turning into any sort of hustling fellow blues of their hard-earned.
