It was between Silva and Yaya for me but Yaya's poor show against Arsenal swung it in Spanish Dave's favour.

Don't know how Silva has beaten Yaya to it when Yaya won us the COC and scored hat-trick v Fulham and has been all round great.

Silva is always fairly consistently good, but was exceptional against Hull. He was also very good v United but that isn't difficult is it?

It's simple really. Silva was our best player in 4 of the 7 matches (Barca, Hull, United and Arsenal), didnt play badly in the other 3 games.

Yaya was our best player in 2 (Sunderland and Fulham), had a shocker against Wigan and was poor against Arsenal and Hull.

It's Silva's consistency that makes him player of the month
