Only one possibility for me.

Capped by his MotM display in Spain on Tuesday, it has to be Fernandinho.

Is everyone forgetting that Tuesday was in November? Otamendi was excellent in October, Fernandinho has been great all season and as said I think he deserves a close 2nd for October, but his amazing display against Sevilla I think has clouded a lot of people's judgement for the month before

No offence to Fernandinho, but how some people have got him down as player of the month is a joke. Suspended for a game and his best performance was against Sevilla which was in November. Otamendi has been head and shoulders above every other player in the month of October!

Good point. Everybody does seem to have included Sevilla as last month, but people are also forgetting Otamendi was shaky at the start of October, against both Newcastle and Bournemouth before he had a great derby and scored a goal against Norwich.

Yeah, fair enough, I'd forgotten Sevilla was this month, but Dinho has been our most consistent player all season, with the possible exception of Merlin, who, of course, is injured.

Maybe the reason Nic was so good at the swamp was because he had Dinho and Nando providing a screen, just as the racist adulterer at the Kremlin looked so great last term because there were two very good defensive midfielders operating in front of him.

Just a thought.

Suprised Sagna hasn't had any votes, as he's been remarkably consistent this month (and indeed this season).
Sagna has been excellent all season, but there were three outstanding candidates in October, and they're the top three in the poll, and he doesn't get the national vote like some players do. Fernando probably deserves a higher percentage too, as he hasn't put a foot wrong either.
