Bluemoon's Official Top 100 Films

Top three Spike Lee Joints

1. Do The Right Thing (1989)
2. Malcolm X (1992)
3. 25th Hour (2002)

Loved Jason and the Augonauts as a kid and it still stands up in the genre now even without cgi. They got the pacing just right and with the right mix of monsters and adventure, those skeletons creeped me out. Liked Raging Bull too, one of De Niros best performances, enjoyed the original TC Affair with Mcqueen and Dunaway. Not seen the other two yet, and no entries off my list so far, although a few could easily have made my twenty on another day.

I’m thinking the same thing every time a superhero film appears.

Them: “But you don’t understand, it so much deeper than a superhero film”.
Me: “No, it’s just a guy wearing his undies over his tights, followed by join the dots, wake me up when it’s over car crashes and stunts.”

Venom is probably the best Marvel character movie from a studio other than Marvel itself. However, both Captain America films and Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor Ragnarok are superior in quality at the very least. I do enjoy the MCU releases and look forward to each one as they arrive but see them for what they are: good light entertainment. The only comic book movie that made my own list was The Dark Knight which is by far the best DC offering.
