Bluemoon's Official Top 100 Films

Thought 24Hour... would have scored higher with it’s obvious Manchester cultural links, and the fact that it is quality.
I think I had it on the possibles / bubbling under list.

6 of my top 10 are from the 70's.
The fog the only film I thought was poor in that list.
I did not like the book as well.I was a fan of Herbert at the time as well.

The James Herbert book and the John Carpenter film had no connection, just the same title.
That book was dull though.

I was the other!

[Pedantic mode]It would be nice if its title was correct in the table. The film is called "First Blood" - Rambo doesn't appear in the title - I guess that is some box set marketing mumbo jumbo.[/Pedantic mode]

Fantastic film - good length at about 90 mins or so, decent story, great use of the Canadian scenery.

Author of the book that the film is based on, David Morrell, is well worth a read. Read many of his books over the years and pretty much everything he did in 70s-90s is gold.
Hang about, so did I . That's 3 . Hammer, did I miss the boat or something?

First Blood coming this low probably means that my other favourite wilderness/survival/revenge thriller, Southern Comfort (also in my top 20) won't get in. But we'll see .....

Is that the only where the chubby chap gets bummed by Caajan hillbillies. Top film.
