Bluemoon's Official Top 100 Films

Definitely not to be taken too seriously: it's all about personal taste.

If you were compiling a list of all time great movies, Rougue One wouldn't feature but if you like Star Wars, it's hugely enjoyable.

Jurassic Park is another matter. It's groundbreaking in terms of film technology but it's a rip roaring adaptation of a decent book that I'd say had a fairly novel concept or a twist on the old Land of the Giants type movies (there's only a few basic stories as they say). Also, some of the direction is brilliant in of itself, the first reveal of the big dinosaurs is one of those brilliant Spielberg Williams collaborations - two absolute masters of their craft at the top of their game.

Can't say Jurassic park is novel the writer just basically copied his own idea from decades before. It's westworld with dinosaurs instead of robots. Nowt original in that.

Heat (1995) was my #2 pick and that ended up in 53rd place behind Snatch "do ya like dags?"

My #1 pick has no chance of appearing, it's basically Heat set in 1881.

Don't recall mosquitoes in amber in Westworld but hey ho. Like I said, there's only seven, is it, basic story lines.
