And BTTF has just been released in 4k with Atmos sound.
Yip, two from the 80's nominated from me (1980 / 1982)Only 2 of my movies were from the 80's.
One from 1980 and the other 1981.
Think its probably my favourite decade for films, got 6 or 7 in my top 20 from the 80's. My top 2 as well (Stand by Me and BTTF) are 80's as well. Not for me but I can understand why folk like it.

Saving Private Ryan made it 6 movies in the top 100 for me.
I'm okay with both of them. For me, Kubrick's technique worked well in Dr Strangelove and A Clockwork Orange. When I saw Tarkovsky I never went back to Kubrick. Too cold. Too sterile and clinical. Not for me.
I enjoyed it as a kid too. Fairly run of the mill Hollywood though.Depends what you want out of a film suppose. Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy a film without having to think too much.
Loved it as a kid and passes my 'would I watch it more than 3 times' test with flying colours.
On tonight, BBC2 HD @ 21:15
