Bluemoon's Official Top 100 TV Shows

Can’t believe “Sons of Anarchy” is so low , but the real surprise for me is “The Wonder Years” even making the top 100, I always thought it was my dirty, secret , guilty pleasure , I don’t even speak about it with my Psychiatrist, and here’s you lot discussing it , out of the closet and out in the open ,on t’internet, for all to see , I feel a bit liberated actually !

Seriously , don’t know if anyone felt the same , but always felt the ending was a bit rushed and sudden ? which is a shame ,for anyone who never watched it , if you like nostalgia , it’s a brilliant show.

Yeah sons of anarchy being so low surprised me too. One that has been on my list for ages, i've heard nothing but good things about it.

I have a predicted top 10, i'll see how many i get right.

I'm really going to have to give Wonder Years a go now (don't have hulu, thanks though for the tip), sounds like something i'd like, being a sucker for lighthearted dramedy.

Both well worth investing some time into mate, hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I've never seen it.

That's a good thing to come out of these lists perhaps, putting people onto things that might be worth seeing.
You deffo have to watch it, though I think you have to be of a certain age to fully appreciate it, also the choice of music is brilliant in all 115 episodes.

We are not likely to look upon its like again". Friends is an American television sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons. With an ensemble cast starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, the show revolves around six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City. The series was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The original executive producers were Kevin S. Bright, Kauffman, and Crane.

Kauffman and Crane began developing Friends under the title Insomnia Cafe between November and December 1993. They presented the idea to Bright, and together they pitched a seven-page treatment of the show to NBC. After several script rewrites and changes, including title changes to Six of One and Friends Like Us, the series was finally named Friends.

Filming took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. All ten seasons of Friends ranked within the top ten of the final television season ratings; it ultimately reached the number-one spot in its eighth season. The series finale aired on May 6, 2004, and was watched by around 52.5 million American viewers, making it the fifth most-watched series finale in television history, and the most-watched television episode of the 2000s.

Friends received acclaim throughout its run, becoming one of the most popular television shows of all time. The series was nominated for 62 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning the Outstanding Comedy Series award in 2002 for its eighth season. The show ranked no. 21 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, and no. 7 on Empire magazine's The 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time

The series stars Shandling, Jeffrey Tambor, and Rip Torn and features celebrities playing exaggerated, self-parodying versions of themselves. The program has had a marked and long-lasting influence on HBO as well as on television shows in the US and Britain such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock and The Office. The supporting cast includes Janeane Garofalo, Wallace Langham, Penny Johnson, Linda Doucett, Scott Thompson and Jeremy Piven.

86. Lost 5/49

Lost is an American drama television series that originally aired on ABC from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons, comprising a total of 121 episodes. The show contains elements of supernatural and science fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. The story is told in a heavily serialized manner. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters.

Lost was created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof, who share story writing credits for the pilot episode, which Abrams directed. Throughout the show's run, Lindelof and Carlton Cuse served as showrunners and head writers, working together with many other executive producers and writers. Due to its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii, the series was one of the most expensive on television, with the pilot alone costing over $14 million. The fictional universe and mythology of Lost were expanded upon by a number of related media, most importantly, a series of short mini-episodes called Missing Pieces, and a 12-minute epilogue titled "The New Man in Charge".

Lost has regularly been ranked by critics as one of the greatest television series of all time.
