Cannot believe The Wonder Years was so low.

Surprised Luther not higher. I have avoided American shows as I just don’t like them. I find each episode of many of them the same as he last one. 24 for example. Breaking Bad - Turned it off at series 2.

The point in general is valid, i would agree. And 24 i'll give you as well. Wrong on Breaking Bad though, literally the opposit and why it is praised for bucking the formula.

Bad example with Luther too, as all the episodes are pretty much identical, almost minute for minute same structure and pace.

That's a good thing to come out of these lists perhaps, putting people onto things that might be worth seeing.

Maybe I should have stuck with it. I think it’s just a dislike for American drama that I have. All 20 of mine are UK programmes.

Huge mistake!

I know why he did that, though. I bought the first season on DVD and wondered what all the talk was about. Dropped it. About a year later, the talk was still going on. A friend whose judgement I respect persuaded me to go back to it and persevere. I bought the second season. Got into it. More and more and more. By the end, I was completely hooked. It is most definitely a series that gathers momentum as it goes on.
