Bluemoon's Official Top 100 TV Shows

Auf Pet my no 5. Had Band of brothers and Alan Partridge in my 20 too. Almost included The Simpsons but couldnt, because it sank dramaticly after series 10, now its been shite for longer than it was great.

I'm sure we all have shows that we are disappointed didn't make the 100. This was my #8 pick, and I'm posting it up here in case people don't know it. I'm sure some have seen it, and I thought it might make the lower reaches of the top 100 ......

Carnivale

"To each generation is born a creature of light and a creature of darkness....."

A circus rolls through the dustbowl in depression-era mid-west America, and it picks up young Ben Hawkins.
At the same time in California, we meet Brother Justin, a preacher with prophetic visions.

The imagery and story in this series is top-notch, everything you'd expect from an HBO production,
and although it was cancelled after two seasons, you do get a partial ending after 24 episodes.
Anyway, "Management" suggests that if you like that whole good vs evil kind of set-up and striking visuals,
you need to do yourself a favour and check this out.

Yep Scrubs again was brilliantly written though I prefer Brooklyn 99 which is similar but doesnt have the sentimental’huggy’ quality that I think sometimes let the former down.
I think you can often judge the quality of a comedy by the standard of the characters outside the main cast. Curb, Seinfeld, Porridge, South Park, Father Ted, Toast of London, Detectorists etc all had great sidemen/women

Yes, definitely the case with two more of my ‘comedy picks’. Frasier had one or two good ones. Restaurant critic Gil Chesterton was a favourite of mine. Same with Peep Show and Super Hans. Loved John and Mary in Father Ted as well. My top placed comedy was The Larry Sanders Show, but truthfully that was about the main trio

Scrubs was a great show . Is it in the 100 yet ?

Haven't seen it and suprised it didn't make the cut, though it tailed off in later seasons it is much better and sharper than the likes of friends.

Woyldnbebin my top five american comedy series I like alongside Sienfeld, Community Archer and Parks and recreation

Seeing the list now, i'm not surprised it didn't make it on.

Agree, some really clever writing, went through the same dip most long series go through but brought it back for a good finish (excluding the mini side reboot attempt). Quite underrated. I had it on my list.
