DB, I can understand why you defend Dubai - you have chosen to live there. But you're defending the indefensible. Some of the laws are ridiculous, and if a British government proposed similar laws for England such as forcing women to cover up, forbidding kissing in public, locking people up for being gay etc. then they would be denounced as basically worse than the BNP.

I'm sure in your experience Dubai is great, but their laws beggar belief, whether (as you are sure to now argue) they are strictly enforced or not.

You're right about some of the ridiculous laws, and I've never argued otherwise. I enjoy Dubai, but it has many, many faults; just as anywhere else in the world.

But this doesn't really have anything to do with the problem I have with this delusional Davies chap who is just making things up as he goes along.

I am defending one point in this argument that is very much defensible, and that is Davies' assertion that Jews are banned from Dubai and the Dubai government wants to kill all Jews. He stated that this was a "fact". It isn't.

I was referring to Iran when I sais they want to kill all Jews.
As pee dubyas crayons said, some of the laws in Dubai are absolutely ridiculous and horrible.

Do they affect you? No. Do they have any relevance to this conversation? No.

But you've lost an argument so you're trying to dig your way out of it. Fair play, I understand. It's nothing to feel ashamed about.

I percieve Israel,amongst other states,as racist,even down to the royal family of ENGLAND/GBR,whom if you are not bloodline,i.e. black or anyother none bloodline person,has absolutely no chance of being King or Queen,and the only way you can become Prime Minister,is if you went to some public school or other,(and public,thats a contradiction in terms isnt it?) Nah, most of my mates are though.

I was working in Bangkok for 4 years and then decided it was time to go home. Stopped off half way in Dubai to see a mate and got offered a job in marketing so decided to stay. That was 3 years ago now.
