Nah, most of my mates are though.

I was working in Bangkok for 4 years and then decided it was time to go home. Stopped off half way in Dubai to see a mate and got offered a job in marketing so decided to stay. That was 3 years ago now.

Haha awesome. Know anybody working on the Burj Dubai? Gotta see that thing with my own eyes one day..

And the word blueblood, comes from the copper that was in the bloodstream in royal bloodlines that were seeded from above, from day one,and when the copper is mixed with normal blood, there is a slight blueness to it,hence the word,Blueblood.

Blueblooded...

A literal translation of the Spanish 'sangre azul', attributed to some of the oldest and proudest families of Castile, who claimed never to have intermarried with Moors, Jews, or other races. The expression probably originated in the blueness of the veins of people of fair complexion as compared with those of dark skin.

Fair assumption mate, but i am still going with the copper view, probably The Annunaki race, and yes, they came from above.

No, although a few mates were on Dubai Mall and Old Town, which are at its base. It's been great watching it grow from the short stump it was 3 years ago, although it looks pretty silly now because it is so much taller than anything else in the city.

No doubt it will become another white elephant marking Dubai's excesses of the mid-2000s. They can't fill the existing buildings at the moment, so God only knows what it'll be like when another 200 floors of hotel, accommodation and office space come online.

All part of the fun. Meanwhile 250,000 labourers almost starve to death and work for $10 a day. Dubai seems like a conservatives wet dream haha. Just like the good ol' days.
