Allegedly Mark Hughes wanted him so bad, so that he could allegedly take his % cut of the transfer fee, for his development of the player, allegedly. This is why allegedly Hughes was keen to drive the transfer fee up, so that he could allegedly get a bigger piece of that pie, allegedly. Which allegedly was one of the reasons which allegedly led to his downfall, when our owners allegedly sacked him. All this is allegedly of course, and probably is a load of nonsense, and nothing but opinion and conjecture, allegedly!! erm.....................
