Boateng

He was playing LB but at one point was in the RB position when a dangerous ball came in and Villa went for it - only to be 'owned' by Boateng - really cool - imagine Maicah in the same situation!!

This lad is going to be a top player

Do we sometimes sign players just for the sake of it watching this guy and i not slagging him before he even played because he looks a steadie enough player but who in our back 4 is he better than not as good at lb as bridge , certainly no where near as good as our cb's or rb's but we threw quite a lot of cash to get him is he that much better than what we have?

Give this man a prize!!!

For talking Bollocks! What I have seen of him he loooks a quality addition to the team and like others have said HES PLAYING OUT OF POSITION!

on last nights performance i'd say he's no better than Ned or Micah.
I don't know much about Boateng and have no idea what his preferred position is, but turning your back on a forward who's about to shoot/cross is schoolboy stuff.
Only seen him in the World Cup, so I'm not an authority on him. Obviously a lot of Blues rate Richards higher than him, as in posts I have seen previously they rate Richards at £15m!!!! At this moment in time, and only from what I've seen, I would rate him higher than Richards. I like Richards, but don't feel he is as good as this bloke.....yet.

Please tell me you are kidding. He is right footed, playing at left back, 21 years old and playing in a semi final of a World Cup.

^^^^^this!!!!^^^^^^^^

this place is getting more and more whingers on it.....its a fucking joke!!

how many games have you seen him play? 2? against in england and against spain in a world cup semi final??? FFS

Taking into account the result of the england-germany game and his performance, i'd say he is more than capable of going up against the best that the premier league has to offer!!! Having already done so, with some ease!!!

I reamin unconvinced about Boateng , but he may prove me wrong ........

PMSL at this thread and the idiotic comments of him not being better than Micah. The city fans delusion of how good our academy players are strikes again it seems.

I thought he had a decent game playing on his weaker side considering he was against Iniesta!

I think he looks quality personally.

It's not even his position but he was still keeping a quality left back sitting on the bench for Germany.
