Why? Maicon is almost 7 feet and is playing RB. I say it's good to have one of our full-backs to be good in the air. As our DM is also short, it leaves us vulnerable in the air on set pieces if we play with too short full-backs.

Boateng has done a job for Germany this world cup. Kept it tight and tidy. He was playing out of position and it showed. His best position is center back. He is like a Micah Richards with sense.

To be honest, taking all things into account, i'd probably put him ahead of all of our defenders except for Kompany at the moment (based on last season), wether at LB, RB or CB... The guy is pure quality and can only get better!!! 11 Million, what a bargain!!!

He's definitely a center. More of an emergency fullback. And Lord knows we need central defense. Plenty of fullbacks on the market to fill the gaps there. We need that size and strength in the middle.

Boateng is class. Comfortable on the ball, pretty good positioning and strong. Will do very wel at RB and CB, but as Spain showed last night he is nothing but a fill in LB at best.

This is the most ridiculous thread I have read in a while.

This KID went to the semi-finals with Germany, played practically all the games out of position, keeping actual proper left backs out of the team. Did you start watching football 2 days ago? How you do not see his obvious class boggles the mind. Besides Upsons goal and a couple wayward passes he has hardly made any mistakes.
