52 is no fucking age at all.

A fact that many overweight middle aged blokes with stressful jobs might wish to reflect upon.

And given that a fair sized proportion of the Cellar's regulars fit that description, it's particularly concerning.
You don't look a day over 50, mate.

Speak of the devil :)
I'm jolly overweight, whereas Bob Crow was of the angry variety.

didn't like the man or agree with his marxist politics, however i wouldn't wish death on anyone even someone as obnoxious as i found him, nor would i dance on his grave unlike many who did so when mrs thatcher passed away.

I'm a 50yr old miserable fat bastard who can't stand exercise. No hope for me then

I'm supposed to be slimming down. Mrs London tells me you can have too much of a good thing.

Same here, a horrible way to die is death.

Did he ever decimate whole communities? Did he ever ruin the lives of their next generations?

No just a bloke who fought tooth and nail for better rights and pay for the members who paid him to do so.

It still crushes our RWNJ that we hated Maggie and got pissed into the night, safe in the knowledge she'd fucked of to sit at the side of the devil himself. Precious twats.

Go to a pub tonight and I bet 75% wont have a Scooby who Crow was.

Because of him I was late once.

Really had no time for him but you can't deny his commitment and passion for his job and for his members.

It's just a pity that he came across as a bit greedy. 100 quid for the train captains on the DLR for just turning up for work during the olympics with a guaranteed minimum overtime payment of five hours a week as well just for doing their fucking job was a bit galling. True, the tube and bus unions followed suit, but still.

A family man who dies at such a relative early age is a horrible thing though. My thoughts go out to his family.

Crow got a right slagging off by the two muppets on Sky News review of the papers last night.

Am guessing they feel a bit bad this morning. Though as they are journos probably not.

RIP

Didnt like the guy from what I saw of him(seemed like a 70s,80s throwback) but I bet all the people that slagged him off for taking a holiday are rethinking their words now....good job he did in hindsight.

Im 53 today and his death was a real shock for me,shows how fragile life is.Enjoy every day,it could be your last.

one person alone was responsible for decimating communities and his name was arthur scargill, he took on a democratically elected government fed up of the previous government and LOST, thatcher wanted to close 70 odd uneconomical pits, 12 months later with little work done in the pits they had flooded and unworkable except at huge cost and double the original number of pits were closed, did scargill and his num cronies think of the miners and their families while they were drawing their salaries ? ( at the time it was reported as £80,000 per annum scargill was paid ) and how much did they donate to the strike fund ? scargill did spend some num money on a nice london residence for himself though, thankfully he lost that last year when it all came to light he invested in one of thatchers "right to buy policies" HYPOCRITE and champagne socialist/marxist
