To be fair, that site would hardly respond to something like this with a "nope, nothing to do with what we bang on about, guv" would it? More specifically, if that was the reason why he stood down, he'd probably have been arrested by now.

I ran a line for Uriah Rennie at Hyde United (Rennie must have been on the naughty step at the time) about 20 years ago. He gave his instructions in about 1 minute, and I didn't catch a word of them. Top performance from me though. I didn't get one offside wrong.

Yes, I didn't really have a problem with him. Was he the best ref about? Nope. Was he ok? Sure. He definitely controlled matches at least.
